Gainesville – There’s a new No. 1 in the Prep Zone Power Poll.

The Bucs (2-0) defeated #16 Bartram Trail (St. Johns), 56-24, and received six of the 11 first-place votes. The Conquerors were ‘sloppy’ according to head coach Verlon Dorminey, but they still managed to defeat Ribault (Jacksonville), 34-6, and pick up the other five first-place votes.

The rest of the top five remained the same.

Class 1A state semifinalist Dixie County (Cross City), 7A Bartram Trail (St. Johns), 6A Ed White (Jacksonville) and 1A Madison County all dropped out of the rankings following a loss.
