Raines Vikings (4-1) at Sandalwood Saints (4-1)
Outlook: Matchup of two of the top teams in the First Coast area. The defending Class 4A champs have rebounded well from stunning 16-15 loss to Lee back in Week 1 with four consecutive wins over First Coast (34-8), Ed White (48-6),Fletcher (47-14) and Mandarin (27-24). A week off has given the Vikings plenty of time to prepare for the Saints potent attack, a key matchup will be the Vikings secondary against the Saints wide receivers. Tailback Brandon Marshall, wide receiver Matt Drayton and quarterback Barron Coates all must have solid games for the Vikings offense and put lots of points on the scoreboard to keep the Saints offense off the field and linebacker Aric Horne (Iowa State commit) needs to play to his potential in such a big game against an athletic Saints offense. The Saints were cruising along winning their first four games easily over Ribault (21-8), Fleming Island (35-13), Leon (49-16) and Spruce Creek (34-14), before stumbling in double overtime to Palm Coast 28-27. Sandalwood is loaded and will feature wide receivers Taylin Nalls, Kaloeb Parker, Matt Rivera and Jered Geis as well as quarterback Jeff Sims (LSU commit) and tailbacks Kyjuan Herndon and Jeremiah Huntley. The defense is led by Triston Herndon, who has 8 sacks this year as well as playmakers Antonio Clary (Virginia commit), linebacker Brandon Jennings and Calvin Sinclair.
