Gainesville – There was a little bit of a shake-up in ThePrepZone.com state baseball rankings.
Four new teams are ranked #1 in the state in their respective classes.
Davie Nova (10-1) takes over the No. 1 spot in Class 8A, Miami Gulliver Prep (10-4) moved up three spots to #1 in 5A, Providence (Jacksonville) (11-1) is the new No. 1 in Class 4A, and Bishop McLaughlin (Spring Hill) (8-1) is now top-ranked in 3A
Gulliver Prep defeated previously nationally-ranked #7 Oxford (MS) and finished runner-up at the Perfect Game Showdown in Cartersville (GA), and Providence knocked off Miami Westminster Christian, which is one of five nationally-ranked teams from Florida.
