The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Friday, Oct. 12, is Ryan O’Leary of the Oak Hall (Gainesville) football team.
O’Leary helped lead the Eagles to a 49-18 win against visiting St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park) on Homecoming.
The senior running back put Oak Hall on the scoreboard first with an 8-yard TD run on the Eagles’ opening drive. It was the first of four TD’s for O’Leary.
He added two more scores later in the half.
O’Leary scored on a 36-yard TD run in the second quarter and added a 36-yard TD reception from freshman Cole Gonzales prior to the half as the Eagles built a commanding 42-12 lead.
He finished the night with an 8-yard scoring run in the third quarter.
Oak Hall will travel to Rocky Bayou Christian (Niceville) on Friday, Oct. 19.
