The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Monday, Oct. 10, was Brinkley Kinsell of the Gainesville High School volleyball team.
The junior finished with a game-high 14 kills as GHS swept rival Buchholz, 27-25, 25-18, 25-23, at the Purple Palace on Senior Night.
“I think it really made their night,” Kinsell said of her seniors. “It’s always nice to win, especially in the Purple Palace, especially for these girls that we love so much. It’s just a really nice feeling.”
Kinsell, who also added two digs, had the final kill of the night for the Hurricanes (18-6).
GHS will host The Rock School in the regular season finale on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Every game The Prep Zone will recognize a Player-of-the-Game. The recipient receives a $10 gift certificate courtesy of Sonic Drive-In of Gainesville & Ocala.
