The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Friday, Nov. 18, was CJ Ingram of the Hawthorne football team.
Ingram scored four touchdowns as the No. 1 seed Hornets rallied past No. 5 Wildwood, 33-15, in a Class 1R-Region 4 Semifinal.
His 4-yard run with 7:46 to play in the third quarter gave Hawthorne a 20-15 advantage, a lead it would not relinquish, and his 37-yard scoring run with 6:38 to play in the game helped put the game away.
The sophomore quarterback credited his offensive line for his success.
“Definitely O-linemen,” he said. “And the running backs leading me through and they had some pretty good runs. It’s a pretty strong line.”
Hawthorne (9-0) will host No. 2 seed Pahokee (9-2) in the region final on Friday, Nov. 25.
