We don’t want to jinx it, but our last four high school football ‘radio’ broadcasts from Citizen’s Field have been decided with 18 seconds to play (this past Friday for GHS/North Marion), two minutes to play (Buchholz-Oakleaf), 17 seconds (Santa Fe-Eastside), and 18 seconds to play (Buchholz-Columbia). We’ve got Thursday & Friday night football games from Citizen’s Field on radio this week and they’re both district games.
But in addition to radio, we’ll have ‘live’ video of the ‘Battle for the Westside’ between Oak Hall & St. Francis Catholic Academy on Friday night. We kick off our coverage of that on Wednesday as former Oak Hall football coach & current St. Francis Catholic coach Scott McDaniel, along with members of the St. Francis Catholic football team, will join us at Sonic to talk about the big game.
