GAINESVILLE – Williston remained on top of the Prep Zone Power Poll.

The Red Devils (16-2) went 2-0 last week with wins against 4A Santa Fe and district foe Chiefland to remain a unanimous No. 1 for the second consecutive week. Williston’s win against Chiefland gave it the top seed in the upcoming Class 1A-District 7 tournament, while the win against the Raiders avenged a loss earlier this season.

Trinity Christian (Jacksonville) also went 2-0 and moved up one spot to second. The Conquerors (15-4), who are ranked 4th in state in Class 4A, posted back-to-back shutouts for the fourth time this season.

Following a 5-3 loss to No. 10 Fleming Island (Orange Park), the Creekside (St. Johns) Knights dropped one spot to third. Creekside (14-3), ranked 4th in 6A, also defeated previous #12 Atlantic Coast (Jacksonville) as part of a 2-1 week.

Forest (Ocala) remained fourth. The Wildcats (15-3) didn’t fall despite a 3-2 loss to Eustis, which is in the poll for the first time at No. 19.
In addition to the win against the ‘Cats at the Florida High School Invitational, the Panthers (10-3), an honorable mention in the 5A state poll, lost to No. 7 South Sumter (Bushnell) to snap an eight-game winning streak.

Rounding out the top five is Bartram Trail (St. Johns), which moved up five spots following a 3-0 week. The Bears (13-4) are an honorable mention in Class 6A.

Bolles (Jacksonville) (14-5) is ranked sixth, followed by South Sumter (10-2), University Christian (Jacksonville) (14-5), Providence (Jacksonville) (12-7) and Fleming Island (11-5) in the top 10.
