Gainesville High School will be home again this week to take on the Forest Wildcats in a Class 6A-District 5 game at Citizens Field. GHS currently has a 3-1 record overall and a 1-0 record in league play. Forest is 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the district.

Previous Game
GHS is coming off a crazy overtime win against North Marion, 24-21. The Colts led the entire game up until the very end when it mattered the most. Gainesville scored with under four minutes to play in regulation, then junior Alex Hood kicked a game-winning 22-yard field goal in OT.

However, penalties lately have been plaguing GHS. In their last two games they have had a substantial amount of penalties, which played a part in the score being so close last week.

Against North Marion, The Prep Zone’s Sonic Drive-In Player of the Game went to senior RB Niles Cromwell, who scored a rushing TD in the fourth quarter to tie the game and was heavily used during the teams drives.

The Wildcats got demolished last week by Jones (Orlando), 60-0. The Fightin’ Tigers put up 48 points in the just the first half against the Wildcats.
