Now that we have made it through a few weeks of the season, it is time to release our FABC-Source Hoops Boys Super 10 Poll. This poll considers all high school teams in the state of Florida regardless of affiliation. In other words, this is the best of the best. Whether you are a member of the FHSAA, SIAA or we do it our way your team was considered. Some key match ups will take place at several of the holiday tournaments that could shake up the poll in a major way.
#1 Montverde Academy (6-0) The squad from Lake County is regarded by many as the top team in the country. A repeat title at the City of Palms should make the Eagles a consensus #1 in all the polls.
#2 Jacksonville Providence (9-1) The Stallions rebounded from an embarrassing loss to Montverde by handily taking down city rival ACDS in front of a large crowd at UNF arena.
#3 Jacksonville Arlington Country Day (8-1) Suffered a set back to Providence but still has the talent to play with anyone in the country.
#4 Orlando Christian Prep (10-0) The Warriors who boast several Division 1 signees are starting to be perform as we expected them to in the preseason.
#5 Weston Sagemont (10-0) The unbeaten Lions are roaring mightily after impressive wins over a few talented teams.
#6 Orlando West Oaks (11-0) A relatively unknown team to most in the state, the Flames are undefeated in their quest to become a national power.
#7 Plantation American Heritage (8-1) Suffered an early season defeat at the hands of current #3 ACDS and haven’t looked back since.
#8 Pompano Beach Blanche Ely (8-0) Senior guard Lance Tejada has been absolutely sensational in leading the Tigers to an undefeated start.
#9 Lake Minneola (12-0) Head coach Freddie Cole has the top team in Class 6A flying above all opponents. The Hawks could stay unblemished for a while.
#10 Tampa Berkeley Prep (6-0) The Buccaneers haven’t been tested much so far this season but that will change at the Kingdom of the Sun tournament after Christmas.
