Key Players: Cole Fagan (LB, Sr.), Will Thomas (C/DT, Sr.), Justin Hamm (WR/S, Sr.), Kane Parks (WR, Sr.), Chase Brattin (TE, Sr.), Bo DeWitz (DE, Sr.)
Outlook: The Tigers lost quite a bit to graduation last year in the trenches. The key to the season will be how the young guys are able to fill those voids. It will also be an adjustment from the traditional Dunnellon Wing-T offense under Frank Beasley to a new spread offense under Harris, who said “hopefully the learning curve will not be too great.”
Seven starters return on offense, including Parks, who had 10 TDs, and Brattin, who had 20 receptions. Thomas is a four-year starter who plays on both lines of scrimmage.
A total of five starters will return on defense. Fagan had 109 tackles, Hamm had 6 INT, and DeWitz had 15 TFL. Dunnellon was always a blue-collar, bring your lunch pail to work team under Beasley so you always knew what to expect. There is a little unknown about this Tigers’ team, which could work in Dunnellon’s favor.
