Non-district showdown between Deerfield Beach and St. Thomas Aquinas. The visiting Bucks run of 13 consecutive playoff appearances ended in 2011 and the team features a collection of young but talented players. Junior RB Brandon Powell is the most accomplished of the 10 returning starters on offense and is the featured performer in the team’s Wing-T attack. Senior Brandon Bracy anchors both sides of the line for a defense that brought back just four starters from last season.
The host, St. Thomas Aquinas, has a dangerous gunslinger in QB John O’Korn (Houston commit), big-time linemen in Kyle Schafenacker (Connecticut commit), and Austin Bland (Florida Atlantic commit).
