We have an awesome opportunity to come together and make GREAT things happen. As we all know the devastation that Hurricane Harvey has left, we would like to do something to assist them. I know the numbers of those in need are many but with all of us pitching in together, we could help and make a difference for some. Working together we can reach a larger number and have a greater impact.

Let’s ALL “TEAM UP” to do something good for others but we need to act quickly.
We (District 3) are working alongside a Texas contact that I was very fortunate to meet at a Babe Ruth World Series tournament and a Hurricane Relief Organization to make sure that we send what is allowed and needed. I thank you in advance for any and all that you and your league can do. We are hoping to pull this together and ship this out by Sept 14th. Please bring your donations, packages and items to the Sept 10th scheduling meeting or if you have items, supplies or anything that you would like to drop off now, please contact Erika Smith…352-258-3045 or waldorecreation@gmail.com. Items needed:
toilet paper
tissues
toothpaste/toothbrush
soap
feminine products
wipes
bandaids
underwear/socks
diapers
formula
brushes/combs
towels
wash cloths
deodorant
shampoo/conditioner
rain poncho’s
hand sanitizer
flashlights/batteries
trash bags (small packages)
any waterproof pouches/ziploc bags
non-perishable food, including canned (if possible easy access/pull-tab) and dehydrated food
small stuffed animals and small books for the children
individually packaged candy, gum and snacks
a short written note/card for encouragement to the recipients…especially from our kids
