Class 9A Final
Western (Davie) 7, West Orange (Winter Garden) 0

Wildcats (22-7) win their first state title by knocking off the 2-time defending champion Warriors (24-8). The win also gave Broward County four fast-pitch state titles in the same year for the first time – Pembroke Pines Charter (7A), American Heritage (6A), Coral Springs Charter (5A).

Class 8A Final
Hagerty (Oviedo) 1, Oakleaf (Orange Park) 0

Rollins College (Winter Park) commit Ashley Worrell went 4-for-4, including the lead-off hit in the top of the seventh inning that led to the only run of the game, as the Huskies (27-5) won their first state title. Worrell allowed just four hits and struck out five to improve to 22-2 as the starting pitcher.

Oakleaf (Orange Park) 1, Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton)

Class 7A Final
Pembroke Pines Charter 4, Niceville 1

Jaguars (26-5) won their 3rd state title overall. Eliza Gonzalez allowed just five hits, walked none, and struck out eight as Pembroke Pines Charter won its first title since 2014.

Class 6A Final
American Heritage (Plantation) 5, Lake O’ Lakes 1

Patriots (21-8) win their 2nd state title in three years and their eighth overall, which tied Bartow for second most in state history. Pitcher Emily Grobman, who is seeking to play at an Ivey League school (Yale, Harvard or Princeton), tossed a 3-hitter and retired 13 batters in a row at one point.

Class 5A Final
Coral Springs Charter 4, West Nassau (Callahan) 1

It was one big inning that made the difference for the Panthers (30-2), who sent nine batters to the plate and scored all four runs on three hits, two walks and three errors to win their fourth straight state title. Villanova signee Emily Estroff pitched a complete game and allowed just three hits and struck out six. Coral Springs Charter improved to 115-6 over the past four seasons, and head coach Mark Montimurro improved to 13-1 in the Final Four.

Class 4A Final
Westminster Christian (Miami) 6, Trinity Christian (Jacksonville) 1

One of only two teams to defend a state title. It was the fifth title overall for the Warriors (24-6) and their 3rd in five years. Westminster Christian, which faced the same opponents it played in the 2017 state tournament, edged Trinity Christian, 3-2, on an error in the bottom of the seventh in last year’s state semifinals en route to a 4-2 win against Oxbridge Academy in last year’s title game.

Class 3A Final
Admiral Farragut (St. Petersburg) 8, Cornerstone Charter Academy (Belle Isle) 6

In a game that featured six lead changes, the Blue Jackets (19-5) won their first state title by rallying for three runs in the top of the seventh inning. Admiral Farragut defeated defending state champion John Carroll Catholic in the semifinals.

Class 2A Final
Academy at the Lakes (Land O’ Lakes) 1, Aucilla Christian (Monticello) 0

Alabama commit Alexis Kilfoyl, who is ranked by FloSoftball as the nation’s top 2019 pitching prospect, drove in FSU commit Brooke Blankenship, who had singled in the top of the 11th, with the game-winning run. She also picked up the win in the circle by tossing a 4-hitter with 13 strikeouts. It was the first state title for AATL (26-4).

Class 2A Semifinals

Academy at the Lakes (Land O’ Lakes) 15, Lake Worth Christian 0

Class 1A Final
Wewahitchka 2, Trenton 1

Gators (26-4) win their third state title (Class 2A state champions in 2007 & 2008) by scoring two runs without a hit in the top of the first inning. The Tigers (26-4), who scored their only run without a hit in the sixth, were making their first state tournament appearance in 22 years and seeking their first fastpitch state softball title.
