JACKSONVILLE -- The Lakeland Dreadnaughts continue to hold on to the top spot of the Beef 'O' Brady's Top 25 - but only by the slimmest of margins.

Lakeland has a two-point lead in the final balloting of the season before the state championships - edging Northwestern 295 to 293. Lakeland received seven first place votes and Northwestern picked up five. Nease continues in third place followed #4 Pahokee and #5 St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Raiders moved up two spots over Bolles and Trinity Catholic (both tied for sixth) following three straight blow-out playoff wins. Miami Washington is eighth followed by Clewiston at ninth and Mainland at tenth.

Six new teams entered the poll after last week's upset losses. Entering the poll again were North Miami Beach (15), North Marion (20) and Tallahassee
Lincoln (24T). Entering the poll for the first time were North Florida Christian (19), Orlando Boone (16) and Bartow (24T).
