Panhandle Region

District 1B-1 Cottondale leads this four team district with one district win over Carabelle. Cottondale is 4-2 overall, the only team in 1B-1 with a winning record. Look for them to beat out Graceville, Carabelle and Apalachicola for the District title with 2-2 Graceville picking up the runner-up slot.

District 1B-2 Quincy Monroe Day is tied with FAMU-Tally at 1-0 in the District. However, Monroe is 2-2 and FAMU is 2-4 overall. Look for Monroe to win the District, with 3-3 Aucilla Christian Academy grabbing the surprise runner-up slot.

District 1A-1 This seven team district has Greensboro West Gadsden on top at 4-0, with Port St. Joe and Liberty County right behind, at 3-1 and 2-1 respectively and all three well above .500 overall. Liberty County, at 5-1, is likely to overtake Port St. Joe for the runner up slot.

District 2B-1 Another three-team district has Baker at 5-2 overall and 1-0 in-district. 7-0 Bratt Northview will give them a battle for the district title. 1-6 Santa Rosa South Walton will not.

District 2B-2 Chipley has control over a playoff berth at 4-3 (2-0). They may not win the district title though, if 6-0 (1-0) Blountstown has anything to say about it. The other three teams are unlikely to compete.

District 2A-1 Pensacola Catholic is 5-1 (1-0) and will likely take the district over 3-3 (0-0) DeFuniak Walton.

District 3A-1 Pensacola’s Pine Forest and Washington are both 2-0 in this district. Pine Forest is undefeated overall at 6-0, while Washington is 4-2 and should face a test in Pensacola High, who are 5-1 (1-1).

District 3A-2 Tally Godby and Crawfordville Wakulla are both 6-0 overall and 2-0 in district. Panama City Bay and Havana East Gadsden will be there to pick up the pieces once one of them lose however. PCB is 5-2 (2-1) while East Gadsden is 4-2 (1-1).

District 4A-1 Milton is 5-2 (1-0) and Pensacola Escambia is 4-2 (1-0). Obviously, when these two meet, it’s going to be a solid game, as it is every year. However, unlike many years, there is a third team in this four-team district to challenge the loser of the grudge match. Pace is 4-3 (0-1), but a couple district wins will net them a tiebreaker game at the least, for a chance to head to the postseason.

District 4A-2 Crestview, at 6-0 (1-0) is a shoe-in for the playoffs, while 4-2 (1-0) Navarre is likely to get in. a 3-10 record combined for Ft. Walton Beach and FWB Choctawahatchee will pretty much keep them in the second division of the district.

District 4A-3 Lynn Haven Mosley is 4-2 (2-0) and heads up this district, but will have a serious task in overcoming Tallahassee Lincoln who are 3-1 (2-0). Also, should Mosley fall, they will have a tough Tallahassee Chiles team to deal with at 4-2 (0-1).

North Central Florida

District 1A-2 Mayo Lafayette (that’s luh-FAY-ette) has a sparkling 6-0 (4-0) record to lead the District, but Hawthorne and Monticello Jefferson County only have 1 District loss each. Hawthorne, at 5-2 overall looks to have the runner-up edge on Jeff County (3-3).

District 2B-4 Not surprisingly, Kerwin Bell has Ocala Trinity Catholic rolling at 7-0 (2-0). Newberry is 1-0 in district though, notching a 4-2 record overall. Friday the 13th is another big game in-district. Is Newberry for real, or will Texas recruit John Brantley pass the Celtics to victory? Union County is 1-6, but only 1-1 in-district, so a win over TC and PK Yonge could sneak UCH into the post-season.

District 2A-2 Cross City Dixie County is 7-0 (1-0) and is easily the class of the four-team district. Madison County is 5-2 (1-1) and the only other team over .500 so the Bridges (probably not their real mascot) are likely to take the second post-season berth.

District 3A-5 Williston is 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the district, but they face two teams at 5-2 (1-1), in Dunnellon and Citra North Marion. Alachua Santa Fe is 1-1 in the district as well, but they are 1-5 overall, so either they have an extremely tough out of district schedule, or they are just a bit of a fluke.

District 3A-6 Brooksville Nature Coast Technical is 5-1 (2-0) and will likely fend off Inverness Citrus, who stand at 3-3 (1-0). Citrus will likely snag the runner-up spot and make the post-season, as Crystal River and Brooksville Hernando don’t appear to be much of a threat.

District 4A-6 has the Rams of Gainesville Eastside in a place rarely seen by that school: first. They are 5-1 (2-0) but face a scrappy Belleview squad that is 3-3 (2-0). 4-2 (1-1) Leesburg will need to take down Ocala Forest to stay in contention for the second playoff spot in this district.

District 5A-1 The Bobcats of Gainesville Buchholz play the Purple Hurricanes of Gainesville Gainesville at Citizens Field in Gainesville tonight. Both are behind Niceville who are 6-0 (1-0), with the district win over Gainesville. A loss puts the ‘Canes out of the playoffs and would make the Buchholz-Niceville tilt the district championship game.

Northeastern Florida

District 1B-3 Ocala St. John’s Lutheran is the only team out in this division, with Eagle’s View and Arlington Country Day of Jacksonville each at 1-0 in District. Eagle’s View is 5-2 overall and Arlington is 3-2. The final standings will probably look very similar.

District 1A-3 Tally North Florida Christian and Jacksonville Bishop Snyder are 1-0, and are the only teams at .500 overall in this four team district. NFC is 4-2 overall, while Snyder is 3-3, so they are likely to finish in the same order.

District 1A-4 The first three team district sees St. Augustine St. Joe taking the early lead at 1-0. They are also 7-0 overall. Melbourne Holy Trinity Episcopal is 5-2 overall, and will likely make the playoffs.

District 2B-3 Jacksonville Trinity Christian is 1-0 in-district and 6-0 overall, while Tally FSU has two wins and one defeat in the district. Free Shoes U… High is 5-1 overall however and is likely to fall to Trinity, leaving the door open for Jacksonville Episcopal to take their 4-2 (1-1) record to the playoffs.

District 2A-3 Jacksonville Bolles has offered a 6-0 record a “scholarship” and it has accepted. Along with that comes a 2-0 record in-district. Four teams are deadlocked at 1-1 in the district, Keystone Heights, Starke Bradford, Callahan West Nassau and Jacksonville Ribault (once ree-bow, now ree-bault. Like Renault.) The first three are well over .500. Ribault is 1-5, so it’s either time to learn to win or learn to watch the other teams step on you. The Keys are 5-1, so figure them to snag the runner-up slot for now.

District 3A-3 Jacksonville Andrew Jackson is 5-1, while Jacksonville Raines is 2-5. Both are 2-0 in-district. Jacksonville Bishop Kenny is 0-1 in the district but 3-3 overall, which might give them the chance to edge out Raines for the runner-up spot, with the winner likely being Jackson.

District 3A-4 St. Augustine is a robust 6-1 (2-0) but will be challenged for the district title by 3-3 (0-1) Palatka. Palatka usually has a tough, hard-nosed defence and will likely fend off Green Cove Springs Clay for the runner up spot, if they can’t beat St. Augustine.

District 4A-4 Jacksonville First Coast and Jacksonville Wolfson are both 2-0 in district. The difference comes when overall records are considered. Wolfson is 2-4 and will have to fight to keep 4-2 (1-1) Jacksonville Englewood out of the second place berth. First Coast is 5-1 and is very likely to make the playoffs.

District 4A-5 The Fighting Tebows of Ponte Vedra Nease are 6-0 (1-0) and on their way to another postseason berth. 5-1 (1-0) Lake City Columbia looks to be in the drivers seat for the second playoff nod, but 5-1 (1-1) Orange Park Fleming Island would like to say a few words about that. Fleming Island is not the most popular team in the area and if 2-4 (0-2) Middleburg can knock them out of the postseason, there might be some rejoicing on the south end of Blanding Blvd.

District 5A-2 Jacksonville Bartram Trail is 5-1 (2-0) while Jacksonville Ed White are 5-1 (1-0). Both will face a challenge from Orange Park however. The Bucs are 5-1 (1-1), so they will have to climb uphill to reach the playoff Promised Land.

District 6A-1 The sole big school division in the northern part of the state is led by Jacksonville Sandalwood and Deland. Both are 4-2 overall, both have unblemished 2-0 district marks. When one eventually loses, it will have to fight for the second-place berth in the playoffs with Jacksonville Mandarin at 5-1 and Bunnell Flagler Palm Coast at 4-2. Both are 1-1 in the district.

Central Florida

District 1B-4 At 2-0 Deltona Trinity Christian is the only undefeated team in this five-squad district. Daytona Warner Christian is 5-2 overall and 2-1 in-district. They will likely lockup the top-two spot not owned by Trinity.

District 1B-5 First Academy and Pine Castle Christian Academy, both in Orlando, are both 2-0 and well over .500 overall. They are the cream of the District and should rise to the top. October 27th will be a grudge match between the two for likely control of the District win.

District 2B-5 Wildwood is 3-4 overall but 3-0 in the district. They will have a tough test against 5-2 (2-0) Villages on October 27th. The other three teams are unlikely to go anywhere, though Winter Park Trinity Prep is 4-2 overall. The two losses are in-district however, a death knell for post-season hopes.

District 2A-4 Bushnell South Sumter is 6-1 (2-0) and should easily win the district. The runner-up slot is going to be tougher to predict. Orlando Jones is 2-4 (1-0) while Umatilla is 2-4 (1-1). Also, Orlando Lake Highland has only lost one game in the district, but they are 0-6 overall. So that probably isn’t good foreshadowing. Umatilla has an easier to type name, so peg them for the playoff spot.

District 3A-7 Orlando Bishop Moore at 6-0 (1-0) will have a tough stretch run against Eustis, who are 5-1 (1-0). Groveland Southlake is also 5-1, but that one loss came in the district, putting them a bit behind the eight ball and requiring them to basically run the table to get the district title.

District 3A-8 both Zephyrhills and Dade City Pasco are 1-0 in this district, but Pasco sits at 2-5 overall, while Zephyrhills is unblemished at 6-0. With New Port Richey Gulf at 4-2 (0-1), Pasco better be worried about invaders from the South, rather than trying to head North.

District 3A-9 Titsuville Astronaut is 5-1 (2-0), but faces a tough test in undefeated Cocoa. Cocoa is 6-0 overall, while notching a 1-0 record in the district and sitting back waiting for the Fighting Astronauts. St. Cloud Harmony is 0-1 in the district, but has a nice 4-2 overall record, so they could make some noise in the runner-up race.

District 4A-7 is led by 4-2 (2-0) New Smyrna Beach and 4-3 (1-0) Merritt Island. These two teams will have to be careful to maintain their playoff position however, as a hungry Daytona Beach Seabreeze team waits in Davy Jones’ locker with a 5-1 (1-1) mark. Rockledge is 3-3 overall, but also only has one district loss, at 0-1.

District 4A-12 has three competitive teams and one that isn’t really. Winter Haven is on top for now, at 5-1 (1-0). The second-place team is Eagle Lake Lake Region, at 3-3 (1-0), but a 5-1 (1-1) Seffner Armwood team could make a run, despite the loss of Bill McBride’s son, who is on his way to Stanford. He is a big dude and really, Stanford can only get better. Good luck to him.

District 5A-3 7-0 (1-0) Daytona Beach Mainland controls it’s destiny here, while 3-3 (1-0) Winter Park Lake Howell should hang on to the second place berth, to take home a postseason shot.

District 5A-4 5-1 Melbourne Palm Bay leads the pack at 1-0 in the district, while cross-town rival Melbourne are 1-5, but have a 1-0 record in the district. If Melboure fall, Palm Bay Bayside, at 4-3 (1-1) could slip into the playoffs.

District 6A-2 In the other district containing a high school I attended (Buchholz is the other), three teams, including my Oviedo Lions, are undefeated in district. Oviedo looks to be the potential odd man out though, with a 3-3 overall record to add to their 1-0 district mark. Lake Mary has two district wins and a 3-3 overall tally, while Altamonte Springs Lake Brantley (Oviedo’s rival) are 6-0 (1-0).

District 6A-3 5-1 (1-0) Orlando Edgewater leads the district, and a 6-1 (1-1) Orlando Timber Creek team will likely edge out the other two 1-1 district records, held by 5-2 Winter Park and 5-2 Orlando Colonial. On an unrelated note, Colonial is the alma mater of “famed” actress Delta Burke and also my mom.

District 6A-4 As we move to the edge of Orlando, Clermont East Ridge and Apopka have the edge, with 5-1 overall records and 2-0 marks in the district. Whoever loses will get a challenged from Ocoee, who are 6-1 but have a 2-1 district record.

District 6A-5 Back to the inner portion of the City Beautiful, where Orlando Boone and Orlando Dr. Phillips both have 4-2 overall records and 2-0 marks in the district. The losing team when they face off shouldn’t have much problem making the postseason, the 1-1 district records are held by Orlando Cypress Creek and Orlando FREEEEEEEEDOOOMMMMM!!!!! (ahem…) who also are 1-6 overall.

Tampa Bay

District 1B-6 Lakeland Victory Christian is living up to it’s name, snagging three straight district wins, with two more matches on tap. At 4-3 overall however, Victory trails 6-1 St. Pete Keswick Christian. Keswick is 3-1 in-district, one game up on their nearest competitor.

District 1A-5 Fort Meade is 2-0 and 3-3 overall, while St. Pete Shorecrest Prep is 2-1 in District and 4-3 overall. St. Pete Northside Christian is only 1-1 in-district but they are 5-1 overall, so it is very possible they hop into the playoff picture. If they aren’t careful, Fort Meade could even be left watching the postseason.

District 1A-6 Naples St. John Neumann and Belle Glade Glades Day are not only some of the longest names in high school ball, but are both 1-0 and over .500. Neumann has the rarely seen tie at 5-0-1, while Glades is 4-2. The two faced off on the 13th, but this record obviously hasn’t been updated.

District 2B-6 Sarasota Cardinal Mooney is 7-0 (1-0) and Clearwater Central Catholic is 4-3 (1-0), topping the four-team district. Frostproof is 5-1, with the loss coming in-district. A 2-1 district record could get it done for the Frosties though.

District 2A-5 Mulberry was the code name for floating docks that were sunk in the English Channel during the Normandy invasion. They are also 2-0 in their district. This is even more impressive when considering they have “sunk” each of the other four games they have played. Tampa Catholic is 6-1 (1-0), so figure them for the eventual winners spot, but peg the Fighting Sinking Docks for a runner up slot because Ft. Meyers Bishop Verot and Lake Placid are a combined 2-10 overall.

District 3A-10 Lakeland Kathleen is the alma mater of a friend of mine. Chris works at Publix, and was raised in Lakeland, attending Kathleen. Apparently they’ve gotten over this, because they’re undefeated in the district at 3-0, with a 6-1 overall mark. Bartow is 6-1 as well, but 2-1 in the district, putting them in the runner-up catbird seat. They are probably safely in the playoffs however, because Haines City is 2-4, despite being 1-1 in-district.

District 3A-11 After winning King of the Ring, Sarasota (King) Booker is 4-1 (1-0). This will be a rough-and-tumble division though, as 4-3 (1-0) Palmetto, 4-3 (0-1) Tampa Jesuit and 3-3 (0-1) Tampa Robinson battle it out, trying to reach the playoffs, while maybe even knocking Booker out of the post-season Royal Rumble.

District 3A-13 I didn’t really know where else to put these next two districts, to here they are. Ft. Myers Riverdale and Labelle both have 1-0 district records. With a 4-3 overall mark, Riverdale has the edge over 3-3 LaBelle, but both should make the postseason. The other three schools are a combined 3-16.

District 3A-14 Naples and Naples Lely are 1-0 in district, with 5-1 and 4-3 marks respectively, overall. However, in this all-Naples district, watch out for 5-1 Golden Gate and 4-2 Palmetto Ridge.

District 4A-8 Brooksville is 4-2 overall and New Port Richey Ridgewood is 4-3, but that one loss is crucial, as Brooksville leads the district 2-0 to 1-1. Tarpon Springs is also 1-1 in the district, so Ridgewood must be aware but the Sponges are 3-4 overall.

District 4A-9 Seminole Osceola is not only two counties and a city, all in one name, but they are 5-1 (2-0) in a tough six-team district. They will face a St. Pete Northeast team which is also 5-1 (2-0), with the winner likely receiving the district crown. The loser will have to watch out for the Gulfport Boca Ciega team that is 3-3 (1-1).

District 4A-10 Tampa Plant is 6-0 (1-0) and Tampa Thomas Jefferson is 6-1 (1-0). These two teams are easily the class of the district, though Jefferson could face a battle with the descendents of St. Pete Sally Hemmings. (That’s a very obscure historical joke. Those are probably the two playoff teams.)

District 4A-11 Tampa Hillsborough is in the driver’s seat as the only undefeated district team, at 4-3 (2-0). They must keep their noses to the grindstone though, as Lithia Newsome, at 4-3 (1-1), tries to play catchup. If they stumble, Tampa Middleton, at 3-4 (1-1), will be there to collect the postseason booty.

District 4A-15 Another tough six-team district has Fort Meyers Cypress Lake in control of the district title, at 5-2 (2-0). However, don’t overlook 5-1 (1-1) South Fort Myers, or even 3-4 (1-1) Naples Barron Collier. One slipup and Cypress Lake could not only be out of first, but out of the playoffs with a winning record.

District 5A-5 Three teams have a chance for two playoff spots here. Tampa Vivian Gaither is 2-0 in the district, with half a game on Tampa Wharton and Land O’Lakes, who are both 1-0. However Wharton is 7-0 overall, while Gaither and Land O’Lakes are each 5-1. Despite having spread with sweet cream, Land O’ Lakes is likely to be the team left out, as Gaither has already locked up two district wins, and each still must play undefeated Wharton.

District 5A-6 Tampa Braulio Alonso is 4-2 (1-0), topping Tampa Chamberlain, who are 2-4 (1-0). Chamberlain should make the playoffs though, Tampa Leon King and Tampa Sickles are a combined 2-12 (0-2).

District 5A-7 Gibsonton East Bay and Plant City should get a trip to the playoffs. Both are 1-0 in the district. However, the winner should be obvious as well. East Bay is 5-1 overall, while the Plants are 2-5. Neither Valrico Bloomingdale nor Brandon are likely to put up much of a struggle however.

District 5A-8 Lakeland and Kissimmee Osceola are both 1-0 in district, but the Dreadnoughts of Lakeland are also undefeated overall, at 7-0, while Osceola has a loss. Lakeland Lake Gibson is only 4-2 overall, but have only the one loss in the district, at 0-1. If Osceola or Lakeland fall and Lake Gibson can take advantage, one very deserving team is going to be sitting come playoff time.

District 5A-9 Clearwater Countryside and Dunedin are undefeated in the district, at 2-0 and 1-0 respectively. Countryside is 6-1 and Dunedin is 5-1 overall, making them the favourites to punch postseason tickets. 5-2 (1-1) Tarpon Springs East Lake could have something to say, despite being the alma mater of a disgruntled St. Louis Cardinals fan, who is a friend of mine. That last part doesn’t really matter, but I put it in anyhow.

District 5A-10 Largo, at 6-0 (2-0) is clearly the class of the district, with four teams with 1-1 district records battling it out. St. Pete Dixie Hollins at 2-4, Seminole at 1-5, Largo Pinellas Park at 1-5 and St. Pete at 2-4, will all try to find a way to win the two or three more games it will take to make it into the postseason.

District 5A-11 Bradenton Manatee, which produced Florida “greats” Robby Stevenson and Rod Frazier, is 4-2 (2-0), leading the district. However, Punta Gorda Charlotte is also 4-2 with a 1-0 district record. 4-2 Bradenton Lakewood has a 4-2 overall record as well, but slipped up in the district, with a 1-1 record.

District 6A-6 The only Bay Area big school district sees Sarasota Riverview and Plant City Durant atop the standings, both at 1-0 in the district. Riverview is 4-2 overall and Durant is 4-3. However, the two 0-1 district teams, Sarasota and a very inconveniently named Riverview Riverview 4-2 and 5-1 respectively. Also, either Sarasota Riverview or Riverview Riverview just need to go ahead and change their name. Be like, River Bend or something.

South Florida

District 1B-7 Calvary Christian of Ft. Lauderdale and Jupiter Christian are 1-0 and undefeated overall. The other two teams in this 4-team group are 1-6 overall. So, Friday the 14th is a huge game, between Calvary and J.C. (obviously, this has likely already happened, so check the FHSAA website to find out what happened.)

District 1B-8 Hollywood Christian and Plantation Broward Christian are 1-0 here, but Hollywood, at 4-2 overall, looks to have the edge in the District race over 2-4 Broward.

District 1A-7 Delray American Heritage and North Palm Beach Benjamin are 1-0, but four schools are over .500 in the district, with overall records over .500. The other two , Coral Springs Christian and Vero St. Edwards are 5-2 and 4-3 respectively, with 1-1 district records. This could definitely be a tie-breaker district.

District 1A-8 Miami Dade Christian is 2-0, almost guaranteed to make the playoffs. They are also 6-0 overall. 2-3-1 (1-0) Miami Douglas MacArthur North has promised it “shall return” to the playoffs. 2-4 (0-1) Miami Country Day is unlikely to Truman all over DougMacNorth.

District 2B-7 Pahokee, as the world continues rotating on it’s axis, is 5-0-1 (egads! A tie!) and 3-0 in district. The challenge here will be the runner-up slot. West Palm King’s Academy has the edge right now, at 2-1 and with the only overall over .500 record (5-2). Melbourne Florida Air and Ft. Pierce John Carroll Catholic both only have one loss in the district, like WP King’s, but they also are a combined 2-10.

District 2B-8 Miami Florida Christian and Miami Archbishop Curley are 3-0 in district, but they are also a combined 1-6 outside the district. That’s a tough couple of schedules there. Miramar Parkway could crack the playoffs with the right wins; they are 4-3 (2-2), so it’s going to take a miracle. They’re going against two Christian schools though, so that’s unlikely to happen.

District 2A-6 Riviera Beach Inlet Grove is very similar to Mulberry in District 2A-5. They have nothing to do with D-day, but they are 2-0 in the district and 0-4 out of it. They also are currently above a superior team, 6-0 (1-0) Clewiston, but unlike Mulberry, they face a challenge for the second position, should they fall out of first. Inlet Grove would have to fight off a game West Palm Cardinal Newman squad, who stand at 4-2 (1-1). Boca St. Andrew’s deserve mention as well. They are 5-2 overall, but 0-2 in the district.

District 2A-7 Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna College Prep is 5-0 (2-0) and in first over Plantation American Heritage. American Heritage shares the 2-0 district mark, but is 4-2 overall. The other three teams in this district also have long names, but are unlikely to contend.

District 2A-8 Who cares? There are two teams. They will both make the playoffs, because there are two of them. They are Miami Archbishop Carroll and Tavernier Coral Shores. They haven’t played each other yet, Caroll is 6-1 and Coral Shores is 1-5. I think you can probably guess which order they’ll hit the post-season in.

District 3A-12 Avon Park is 6-1 (1-0), while Wauchula Hardee is 5-1 (1-0). They will likely be the top two teams in this district, but don’t underestimate Arcadia DeSoto County. They are 0-1 in the district, but have a solid 5-2 overall record, more than enough to make some noise in the second playoff spot.

District 3A-15 Ft. Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons is undefeated at 5-0 (1-0), but they face an always tenacious Belle Glade Glades Central team which is 4-2, but also 1-0 in the district. Whichever squad takes the eventual district loss must be aware of Coconut Creek Monarch, who are 3-2-1 overall, but only 1-1 in-district.

District 3A-16 Miami Belen Jesuit Prep is 6-0 (2-0) and Miami Monsignor Edward Pace is 6-1 (2-0). These are easily the two best schools in the district, none of the others are more than two games over .500. However, when they meet, if one falls in the district, they must be aware of Hialeah Gardens Mater Academy Charter, which brings both an absurdly long name and a 4-2 (1-1) record to the table.

District 4A-13 Sebastian River is undefeated overall at 7-0 and in the district (1-0). They aren’t the only unblemished district record though, Stuart Martin County is 6-1 (1-0). They are both likely to make the playoffs, but the battle to see who gets the district flag will be an enjoyable one.

District 4A-14 Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer and Boca Raton West Community are both 2-0 in this district and likely to each have a playoff berth. Boca West is 5-0-1 overall, while Dwyer is 6-1, so both are solid squads.

District 4A-16 Miami Jackson, Miami Washington and Miami Edison are all 2-0 in this competitive district. The first two are 5-1 and likely to make the playoffs. Edison has a tough row to hoe, despite being 4-2 overall. The other three teams in the district are likely to play spoiler, more than anything else.

District 5A-12 Fort Myers is 4-3 (2-0), while 5-2 Cape Coral has a 1-0 district mark. North Fort Meyers is 5-1 overall, but likely to be left out, with a 1-1 district record.

District 5A-13 Stuart South Fork has a 6-1 overall record and a 1-0 district tally. Ft. Pierce Central has the early edge on second, with a 1-0 district record, despite a 2-4 overall sheet.

District 5A-14 Lake Worth Park Vista is 3-2-1 overall, but has a 2-0 district record, giving them a slight edge over Delray Beach Atlantic who are 5-1 (1-0) and Greenacres John Leonard who are 3-3 (1-0). The other two teams in this five team group are unlikely to see the postseason, so the two spots will be fought for among those three teams.

District 5A-15 Coconut Creek, at 5-1 (2-0) has a game up on the rest of the field. Four teams of various quality stand at 1-1 in the district. Pompano Beach Blanche Ely is 4-2 overall, Oakland Park Northeast is 4-2, Coral Springs Coral Glades is 3-3 and Ft. Lauderdale Dillard is 2-4.

District 5A-16 Ft. Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas shares a 5-1 overall record with Hollywood Hills and Hollywood South Broward. However, only the first two are undefeated in-district, at 2-0. South Broward has a 1-1 district mark, which it shares with 3-3 Cooper City.

District 6A-7 West Palm Beach Lakes and Palm Beach Gardens are both 5-1 (1-0), with the loser of their matchup potentially seeing a playoff challenge from 4-2 (0-1) Jupiter.

District 6A-8 Royal Palm Beach is 5-1 (2-0) and looks to have a solid lead on Wellington Palm Beach Central, who stand at 4-3 (1-1). Loxahatchee Seminole Ridge, at 2-4 (1-1), could also pose a problem.

District 6A-9 Deerfield Beach and Parkland Douglas both have 1-0 district records. Like many districts however, this four-teamer has a definite top team. Deerfield is 4-2 overall. Douglas is 2-5.

District 6A-10 5-1 South Plantation and 5-2 Lauderdale Lakes Boyd Anderson will likely both be in the playoffs. Both are 1-0 in district, but the two 0-1 teams are both well under .500 overall.

District 6A-11 Miramar and Miramar Everglades are both 4-2 (1-0), while Pembroke Pines Charles Flanagan are 4-2 (0-1). This four-team district should be a three-team race, with 3-3 (0-1) Weston Cypress Bay pulling up the rear.

District 6A-12 5-1 North Miami Beach is also 2-0 in-district. This district is very interesting though, the 1-1 district record teams are both under .500 overall. Miami Norland is 1-4 and Miami Carol City is 1-6. The only team other than North Miami Beach with an overall record above even is 4-2 (0-1) North Miami.

District 6A-13 Miami Central and Miami Northwestern Community are both 6-0 (2-0). If there is a team to boot one of them from the playoffs, it will likely be 4-2 (1-1) Hialeah American. Hialeah High is already 1-2 in district, despite a solid 4-2 overall record.

District 6A-14 Again, two teams with matched records. Coral Gables and Miami Christopher Columbus Catholic are 4-2 (2-0). Of the two 1-1 district records, 3-3 South Miami is the team most likely to vulture a playoff berth off the eventual loss by the top two contenders.

District 6A-15 Miami Varela and Miami Sunset are 2-0 in the district. Varela is 4-1 overall while Sunset is 3-3. Joining them at 3-3, but with a 1-1 district record, is Miami G. Holmes Braddock. None of the other three teams in the district have more than one win overall.

District 6A-16 Homestead, at 4-2 (2-0) leads the district. Miami Southridge is 5-1, but the one loss is a district smudge, as they stand at 1-1. Homestead South Dade is 4-2 overall, tied with Southrdige at 1-1 in the district, with Miami Palmetto and Miami Killian at 1-1 as well, but both 3-3 overall. At 2-4 (0-2), Miami Coral Reef is likely only to cut the feet of the rest of the district.
