JACKSONVILLE -- The shake ups in the Top 25 have begun. But the more things change in the middle, the more things remain the same at the top. For the
unprecedented 24nd straight week, the Lakeland Dreadnaughts are still the #1 team in all of Florida.
Lakeland once again picked up all 17 first place votes. The Dreadnaughts remained firmly in first place ahead of #2 Miami Northwestern. Nease (St.
Augustine) and St. Augustine switched spots. The Panthers jumped to #3 from #8 after a thrilling, yet controversial, 24-21 win over rival St. Augustine,
which fell from #3 to #8. The Pahokee Blue Devils are #4 in the poll, followed by Chaminade Madonna Prep at #5.
Trinity Catholic (Ocala) stays at #6, followed by Bolles (Jacksonville), St. Augustine, Armwood (Seffner) and Clewiston.
Entering the Top 25 is Kathleen (Lakeland), which knocked of then #12 Monsignor Pace (Opa Locka) on the road, 22-20. The Spartans fell to 21 after the defeat. Dropping out of the Top 25 was North Miami Beach, which lost 24-14 to Chaminade Madonna Prep.
