live broadcastTonight Buchholz and Gainesville continue their annual rivalry.  This time it’s on the diamond as GHS hosts crosstown rival Buchholz in baseball on Friday night at 7 p.m.

Gainesville (12-4) is an honorable mention in Class 7A.  The Hurricanes have their own D-I prospect in Niko Samarkos, who committed to the University of Pittsburgh last week.

Samarkos, who is batting .317, is second on the team with 16 RBIs behind junior Joseph Strong (17 RBIs), who leads the club with 6 HR’s.  Gainesville has won three in a row and seven of its last eight games.
