Tuesday, Jan. 17, Sonic Player-of-the-Game – Darius Days (The Rock)

Sonic-logoOur Sonic Player-of-the-game for Tuesday, January 17, is Darius Days of The Rock boys’ basketball team.

The junior forward scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Rock to their 20th straight win, 82-58, over Arlington Country Day (Jacksonville).  Days scored 10 of those points in a decisive second quarter as the Rock outscored ACD, 28-12, in the period to pull away to another easy win.Darius Days_The Rock

Days hit three three-point shots, two of those coming in the second quarter. Days, who added 12 rebounds, is the leading scorer for the Lions, averaging over 17 points a game.

The Rock (20-1), ranked ninth nationally, returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 21, against nationally-ranked IMG Academy (Bradenton) at the Vince Murray Memorial Challenge at Vanguard (Ocala).
