September 25th, 6:00pm - Eastside Football will be on the show this week. Coach Jeff Parker and the Rams are coming off a big district victory over Dennellon (22-16) heading into Friday’s city rivalry game against Gainesville. Eastside football team: Sir Jackson, Barry Johnson, Rick Johnson, David “Boo” Jones, Sean Scott and James Henderson.
- Thursday, September 20, was Landon Rogers of the Eastside football team. The sophomore led the Rams (2-2) back from a 14-3 second quarter deficit to defeat Dunnellon, 22-16, in the district opener for both teams. Rogers, playing for injured QB Sir Jackson, threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
- Friday, September 21, was Kenric Young of the Gainesville football team. Young had six catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns as Gainesville won its district opener against Lake Weir (Ocala), 44-22. The junior hauled in touchdown passes of 41 and 48 yards for the ‘Canes (4-0).

- Ralpheal Webb of the Gainesville football team. Gainesville’s colors are purple/white. Webb, who holds several D-I offers, finished with 181 yards and three touchdowns on only 10 carries as Gainesville (4-0, 1-0) won their Class 6A-District 5 opener against Lake Weir (Ocala), 44-22. The senior had a 66-yard run for a score on the Hurricanes’ first drive, along with scoring runs of 48 and 41 yards. Most of his yardage came early as the ‘Canes built a 31-0 lead at the half.
